Volleyball Game Preview: Manchester Lancers vs. Matoaca Warriors

The Manchester Lancers will square off against the Matoaca Warriors at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Matoaca took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Manchester, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Manchester got the win against Monacan by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Chiefs: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Matoaca didn't have quite enough to beat Colonial Heights on Wednesday and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Colonials: they've now lost three in a row.

Matoaca now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Manchester, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Everything went Manchester's way against Matoaca in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Manchester made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
