Newark and Midlakes are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Reds will take on the Screaming Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Newark and five for Midlakes.

On Monday, Newark came up short against Campbell-Savona and fell 10-7.

Mynderse Academy hit Midlakes with a six-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Screaming Eagles came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 12-2.

Newark's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Midlakes, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Newark might still be hurting after the 17-0 defeat they got from Midlakes in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Reds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
