Soccer Game Preview: Gateway Charter vs. North Fort Myers + Official Tickets

The Gateway Charter Griffins are taking a road trip to square off against the North Fort Myers Red Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gateway Charter will be strutting in after a win while North Fort Myers will be coming in after a loss.

If North Fort Myers heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Gateway Charter took over last week. The Griffins put the hurt on Moore Haven with a sharp 7-3 victory on Monday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Gateway Charter's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Moore Haven with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Samantha Gilliam (4), Kensleigh Boelk, Tatiana Mariani, and Brooklyn Feliciano.

Meanwhile, North Fort Myers managed to keep up with Lourdes Academy until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Red Knights lost 4-0 to Lourdes Academy. The loss put an end to North Fort Myers' undefeated start to the season.

North Fort Myers' defeat dropped their record down to 2-1-1. As for Gateway Charter, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
