Volleyball Game Preview: North Central Thunderbirds vs. Bloomfield Cardinals

North Central hasn't had much luck against Bloomfield recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m.

North Central lost 3-0 to White River Valley on Wednesday.

The final score came out to 25-2, 25-11, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Bloomfield came into Thursday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Dugger Union on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Cardinals not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 3rd (when they won 3-0).

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Bloomfield was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-8, 25-11.

North Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Bloomfield, their win bumped their record up to 5-20.

North Central might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Bloomfield when the teams last played back in September. Can the Thunderbirds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
