Basketball Recap: Brodhead Comes Up Short

Brodhead was the 60-51 winner over East Troy when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Brodhead Cardinals fell to the East Troy Trojans 53-48. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Trojans are ranked 90th).

Brodhead is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9. As for East Troy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brodhead will square off against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brodhead is facing Jefferson at the right time seeing as Jefferson is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for East Troy, they will challenge Edgerton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Edgerton will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something East Troy surely won't give up without a fight.
