Baseball Recap: Wiregrass Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Wiregrass proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 14) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let the Ezekiel Academy Knights get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Kings have posted since March 16, 2024.

The result came thanks to Zach Crisler's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Wiregrass' success: when he posts at least ten strikeouts the team is 2-1 (and 5-7 when he doesn't).

Wiregrass has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Ezekiel Academy, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-16.
