Basketball Recap: Jemez Valley Takes a Loss

Jemez Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through an 81-21 loss at the hands of the Oak Grove Classical Academy Owls. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Owls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-36 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oak Grove Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaac Rush, who posted 21 points. Brody Prochnow was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Jemez Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Oak Grove Classical Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jemez Valley will welcome Legacy Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Legacy Academy will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Jemez Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oak Grove Classical Academy, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Owls face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
