Softball Game Preview: T.C. Roberson Rams vs. Enka Jets

The T.C. Roberson Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Enka Jets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for T.C. Roberson's offense. They fell 5-0 to North Buncombe on Tuesday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

T.C. Roberson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordyn Summey, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Riley Angel also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Enka had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it 15 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Rockets with a sharp 13-1 victory. The Jets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.

Enka's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for T.C. Roberson, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

T.C. Roberson might still be hurting after the 22-0 loss they got from Enka in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
