Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Lutheran Takes a Loss

Lakeside Lutheran suffered their biggest loss since October 31, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Waupun, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Waupun this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on September 9th.

While Lakeside Lutheran was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-23, 25-17.

Juliet Boche paced Lakeside Lutheran's offense, picking up nine kills. Boche got some help from Grace Hoppenrath and her 15 assists. Carrie Becraft controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lakeside Lutheran has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-19 record this season. As for Waupun, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Lakeside Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Dominican on the 4th. As for Waupun, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Lake Mills on the 7th.
