Football Game Preview: Lutheran Northwest Crusaders vs. Oakland Christian Lancers + Official Tickets

The Lutheran Northwest Crusaders will venture away from home to face off against the Oakland Christian Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Lutheran Northwest beat Lutheran 20-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Lutheran Northwest's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Raymond Losier, who rushed for 102 yards and one TD on only eight carries, and Jonah Breithaupt, who rushed for 81 yards. Those 102 rushing yards gave Losier a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lutheran Northwest was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 242 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Oakland Christian earned a 22-13 victory over Parkway Christian on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Oakland Christian's record now sits at 5-1. As for Lutheran Northwest, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Lutheran Northwest was taken down by Oakland Christian 28-0 in their previous matchup back in September of 2019. Can the Crusaders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
