Basketball Recap: East Paulding Find Success

East Paulding hadn't done well against Lithia Springs recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The East Paulding Raiders escaped with a win against the Lithia Springs Lions by the margin of a single free throw, 60-59. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 79-56 victory the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2016.

East Paulding's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 5-12. As for Lithia Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Paulding will welcome Kennesaw Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lithia Springs, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lithia Springs Lions duke it out with the Alexander Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Alexander has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
