Baseball Recap: Bloomington Takes a Loss

Bloomington fell victim to Grand Terrace and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans. The Bruins' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Robert Bliss spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Bloomington is 5-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-9 otherwise.

Bloomington's record now sits at 7-11. As for Grand Terrace, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

While Bloomington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
