St. Stephens came into Thursday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Newton-Conover Red Devils on Thursday as the St. Stephens Indians made off with an 11-3 victory. The Indians' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Anicka McFarland made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched.
