Softball Recap: Armuchee Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Armuchee's offense. They fell just short of the Ridgeland Panthers by a score of 1-0. The shutout was certainly out of character for the Indians, seeing as the last time the team was held without a run was September 3rd.

For Ridgeland's part, their win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kailynn Bailey, who went 1-for-2 while posting 1 double, 1 RBI, and 1 walk. The game also marked Bailey's ninth in a row in which she got on base at least two times.

Armuchee's loss dropped their record down to 23-4-1. As for Ridgeland, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-5-1.

Armuchee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ridgeland, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Dade County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
