Recap: Jefferson Panthers vs. Manhattan Tigers
The Jefferson Panthers and the Manhattan Tigers squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Jefferson Panthers had to settle for second. Jefferson took a 24-7 bruising from Manhattan. Jefferson's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Tyzer Zody threw for 80 yards on seven of 20 attempts. Parker Wagner was his top target, picking up 42 receiving yards. On the ground, Jack Johnson rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown.
Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Manhattan, they have yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 11-1 record.
Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Manhattan will be playing at home against Florence-Carlton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Florence-Carlton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 521 points over their last 11 games.
