Soccer Game Preview: Castlemont vs. Leadership

Castlemont hasn't had much luck against Leadership recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Castlemont Knights will face off against Leadership at 6:00 p.m. Castlemont will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Castlemont is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Oakland get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 goals the game before, Leadership was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell just short of Oakland by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Leadership came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 429th in California, while Oakland is ranked 928th in California).

Castlemont now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Leadership, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Castlemont came up short against Leadership in their previous meeting on February 10th, falling 3-1. Can Castlemont avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
