Volleyball Recap: South Fork Takes a Loss + How To Watch

South Fork lost against Ferndale last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cubs came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

South Fork was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-23.

Ferndale was led to victory by Dalia Cantu-Mendez and Amaya Mathews. Cantu-Mendez had 20 assists and five digs, while Mathews had ten digs, five aces, and one block. Those ten digs gave Mathews a new career-high.

South Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Ferndale, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-12.

Coming up, South Fork will be playing at home against Hoopa Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ferndale, they are taking a road trip to face off against Hayfork at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
