Volleyball Recap: Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots vs. Mount Paran Christian Eagles
Mount Pisgah Christian kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Mount Paran Christian Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Mount Pisgah Christian sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 26-28, 15-12.
Sophia Nasieku paced Mount Pisgah Christian's offense, picking up 12 kills. Nasieku got some help from Reghan Frazzetta and her 30 assists. Maddie Cuppia and Ellie Lottes kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
Coincidentally, Mount Pisgah Christian and Mount Paran Christian will both be playing Whitefield Academy the next time they take the court. The Patriots will head out to face the WolfPack at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
