Volleyball Recap: Thompson Warriors vs. Hoover Buccaneers
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Thompson couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 3-1 to the Hoover Buccaneers on Wednesday. The Warriors have struggled against the Buccaneers recently, as their game on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The final score came out to 25-12, 25-21, 22-25, 25-20.
Addison Jenkins had an outrageously good game for Hoover as she had 11 digs and 22 assists. Jenkins is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in the last four games she's played.
Thompson's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-10. As for Hoover, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 37-9 record this season.
Thompson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. After both having extra time off, Hoover and Austin will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Austin will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Hoover surely won't give up without a fight.
