Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Archer City's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a hard 44-27 fall against Windthorst.

Archer City's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-12. As for Petrolia, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Petrolia and Archer City were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but Petrolia came up empty-handed after a 44-43 loss.
