Volleyball Recap: Pen Argyl Comes Up Short

Pen Argyl was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-8, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Pen Argyl saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Emily McHale had 21 digs. McHale has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Northwestern Lehigh can attribute much of their success to Lexi George, who had 12 digs.

Pen Argyl's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Northwestern Lehigh, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

Pen Argyl wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against East Stroudsburg North on the 11th. Northwestern Lehigh does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
