Basketball Recap: Goose Creek Skates Past Lake City with Ease

Goose Creek had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 44-point drubbing they dealt Lake City on Friday. The Gators blew past the Panthers 57-13. The win was just business as usual for the Gators, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Goose Creek found their leader in freshman Madeline Dates, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Downey, who scored seven points.

Despite the defeat, Lake City saw an underclassman step up: freshman Hannah Riles earned seven points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was NA'SHIRA STRAKS, who put up two points and nine boards.

Goose Creek's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Goose Creek has already played their next matchup, a 54-42 win against Chapin on the 29th. As for Lake City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-21 loss against A.C. Flora on the 29th.
