Basketball Recap: Mackenzie Mcdonald Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Riverside

There's no place like home for Lutheran-Northeast, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Riverside Chargers on Tuesday as the Lutheran-Northeast Eagles made off with a 49-28 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Lutheran-Northeast's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mackenzie Mcdonald, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Reagan Lewis, who put up ten points.

Despite the loss, Riverside still got an impressive performance from Ashley Weltruski, who had nine points and seven rebounds.

Lutheran-Northeast's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Riverside, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Lutheran-Northeast didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-16 loss against Pender on the 12th. As for Riverside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 59-14 defeat against Archangels Catholic on the 12th.
