Football Recap: Phoenix Day School for the Deaf Falls to Kansas School for the Deaf in First Game of Season

Phoenix Day School for the Deaf had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Kansas School for the Deaf Jackrabbits on Saturday, falling 32-0. The Roadrunners lost against the Jackrabbits in their previous head to head back in September of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 48-46 score last time.

Kansas School for the Deaf's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Phoenix Day School for the Deaf will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Iowa School for the Deaf at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Roadrunners will be up against the Bobcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Kansas School for the Deaf, they will venture away from home to take on Colorado School for the Deaf Blind at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
