Volleyball Recap: Oconomowoc Comes Up Short

Oconomowoc was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Pius XI Catholic Popes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Popes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Cody Haar paced Oconomowoc's offense, picking up five kills. Haar got some help from Nate Karnowski and his seven assists. Haar was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Oconomowoc's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Pius XI Catholic, they moved to 3-8 with that victory, which also ended their seven-match losing streak.

Oconomowoc didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Oak Creek on the 17th. As for Pius XI Catholic, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Martin Luther on the 17th.
