George West came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Ingleside Mustangs. While the Longhorns didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

George West had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-17, 16-14.

George West's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Ingleside, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, George West will take on Marion in a tournament on Thursday. As for Ingleside, they will welcome Miller at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
