Soccer Game Preview: Lopez vs. La Conner + How To Watch

The Lopez Lobos will venture away from home to take on the La Conner Braves at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lopez's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Lopez is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Mount Vernon Christian, who was ranked second at the time (Lopez was ranked seventh). The Lobos came up short against the Hurricanes on Monday, falling 3-0. That's two games in a row now that Lopez have lost by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, La Conner fell victim to Mount Vernon Christian and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 6-0 to the Hurricanes. La Conner haven't had much luck with Mount Vernon Christian recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

La Conner's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Lopez, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Lopez came out on top in a nail-biter against La Conner in their previous meeting back in September, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lobos since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
