Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Madelynn Murray and Kady Duffy Lead Queensbury to Victory

Schuylerville kept up with Queensbury until halftime on Monday, but afterwards: not so much. The Spartans put the hurt on the Horses with a sharp 49-29 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Leading Queensbury to victory were Kady Duffy and Madelynn Murray. Duffy almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards, while Murray shot 63% from the field to rack up 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 15 points gave Murray a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Quinn Jones, who posted seven points.

Queensbury smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Queensbury's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Schuylerville, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
