Lakewood extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Hoover. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vikings, sneaking past 3-1. The win was familiar territory for the Rangers, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Lakewood's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Hoover, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-14.

Coming up, Lakewood will square off against Walsh Jesuit at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Rangers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Hoover does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
