Recap: Heritage Panthers vs. Melbourne Bulldogs
The Heritage Panthers won the last time they faced the Melbourne Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Heritage rang in the new year with a 46-33 win over Melbourne. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Heritage.
Heritage got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gionna Goodlow out in front who scored 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for her. Trishay Collins was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
The win got Heritage back to even at 5-5. As for Melbourne, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will take on Satellite at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Satellite focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 back in December of 2023. As for Melbourne, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Cocoa Beach at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th.
