Basketball Recap: Milton Comes Up Short

Milton was the 73-71 winner over Waunakee when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Milton Red Hawks took a 71-56 bruising from the Waunakee Warriors on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Red Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Warriors are ranked tenth).

Milton's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Waunakee, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

When Milton and Waunakee next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Milton will face off against Edgerton and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Waunakee will try to stop Marshfield's four-game winning streak when the meet at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.
