Softball Recap: Bartlett Yancey Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Bartlett Yancey's offense. They came up short against the Northwood Chargers on Friday, falling 16-0. The Buccaneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Bartlett Yancey saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alana Knight, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Knight has posted since back in March of 2024.

Bartlett Yancey's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Northwood, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Bartlett Yancey wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 17-1 defeat against North Moore on the 11th. As for Northwood, they have also already played their next matchup, a 24-4 loss against Seaforth on the 11th.
