The Goshen Warriors will face off against the Clinton-Massie Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Goshen took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 10-6 win over Fairmont.

Skye Shaw made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off ten hits (and not a single walk). With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Macee Stelle was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Makayla Campbell, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, Clinton-Massie posted their closest victory since May 1, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Fairfield, sneaking past 14-13. With that win, the Falcons brought their scoring average up to 7.3 runs per game.
Like Goshen, Clinton-Massie also got a great game from a two-way player: Ava Crombie. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. Crombie has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Clinton-Massie got a massive performance out of Kalli Jodrey, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Izzy Penewit was another key player, going 1-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Clinton-Massie is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Goshen, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Goshen has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Clinton-Massie struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Goshen was able to grind out a solid victory over Clinton-Massie in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 10-7. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
