Baseball Game Preview: Lancaster Tigers vs. Waxahachie Indians

Lancaster hasn't had much luck against Waxahachie recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Indians at 7:00 p.m.

Lancaster is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They fell 7-3 to Mesquite. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly four runs.

Derrick Chatman II was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 15 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Joseph Foster, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Waxahachie waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Raiders get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. Considering the Indians have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Waxahachie's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Lancaster, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Lancaster suffered a grim 20-1 defeat to Waxahachie in their previous meeting back in April of 2018. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
