Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whiteland). They claimed a resounding 72-43 win over the Anderson Indians. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Warriors have posted since January 30, 2024.

Anderson lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Amiya Fleming, who posted nine points and five rebounds. Kennedy Brown was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Whiteland moved to 5-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Anderson, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-14.

Whiteland and Anderson could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. Whiteland (ranked 208th) will meet Columbus North (ranked 35th) at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th. Similarly, Anderson (ranked 298th) will meet Pike (ranked 21st) at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd.
