Baseball Recap: Yucaipa Comes Up Short

Yucaipa fell victim to Murrieta Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks. The loss was the Thunderbirds' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Yucaipa fell to 2-1. As for Murrieta Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yucaipa will be taking part in a tournament against Citrus Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Citrus Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Murrieta Valley, they will take on Millikan in a tournament on Tuesday.
