Kokomo and Western are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2015, but likely not for long. The Wildkats will head out to take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Kokomo turned things around against Carroll on Tuesday. They never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. That looming 2-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Kokomo yet this season.

Meanwhile, Western was able to grind out a solid victory over Hamilton Heights on Thursday, taking the game 3-1. Western found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: Keegan Tedder and Zane Owens were both handed yellow cards.

Western's record is now 4-6-3. As for Kokomo, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-10-1.

Everything went Kokomo's way against Western in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, as Kokomo made off with a 5-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildkats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
