Volleyball Game Preview: Morgan Park Mustangs vs. Brooks Eagles

The Morgan Park Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Brooks Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Morgan Park came up short against Catalyst-Maria and fell 2-0. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Morgan Park had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Brooks challenged Curie on Thursday. The Eagles came out on top against the Condors by a score of 2-0. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Condors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-23.

Brooks' win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Morgan Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Morgan Park couldn't quite get it done against Brooks in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 as they fell 2-0. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
