The Prout Crusaders will venture away from home to square off against the Toll Gate Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Toll Gate took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Prout, who comes in off a win.
Prout came out on top against East Greenwich on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run second inning. The Crusaders were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Avengers. The high-scoring effort was just what the Crusaders needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Prout let Dylan Delgado and Andrew Nowell run wild. Delgado went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI, while Nowell went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave Delgado a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin McCoy, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.
Prout was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .447. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Toll Gate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Burrillville, falling 11-4.
Geoffrey Laliberte was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Laliberte was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That run marked the first that he has scored this season.
In other batting news, Jack Colvin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Connor Salzillo, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Prout's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Toll Gate, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
