Baseball Recap: Skowhegan Finds Home Field Redemption Against Brunswick

There's no place like home for Skowhegan, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Brunswick Dragons by a score of 6-3 on Monday. The River Hawks haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Silas Tibbetts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Skowhegan is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-7 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jason Aubin, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Skowhegan's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Brunswick, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Coming up, Skowhegan will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Blue at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Brunswick, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Morse at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
