Edwardsville has gone a perfect 10-0 against Collinsville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Tigers will head out to take on the Kahoks at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Edwardsville is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering O'Fallon just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Edwardsville sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 20-25, 25-18.

Despite the defeat, Edwardsville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lucy Malawy had 13 assists and eight digs.

Meanwhile, Collinsville came up short against Belleville East on Tuesday and fell 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Kahoks in their meetings with the Lancers: they've now lost four in a row.

While Collinsville was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-13.

Collinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Edwardsville, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 13-6.

Edwardsville was able to grind out a solid win over Collinsville in their previous meeting back in September, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
