Oak Hill Academy, Montverde Academy put the pressure on top-ranked Chino Hills after impressive weekends.

MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Boys Basketball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard

1. (No. 1 last week) Chino Hills (Calif.), 17-0
After dropping 100 on formerly-ranked High Point Christian Academy (High Point, N.C.) at the Spalding Hoophall Classic, Chino Hills will have a tough Baseline League game at 17-1 Damien (La Verne) on Friday night.

2. (2) Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), 26-1
There are no weak spots in Oak Hill Academy's rotation and Steve Smith has seven or eight players who can turn the lights out on opponents – as seen this weekend in a sweep through the Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions and Spalding Hoophall Classic. If the Warriors can maintain their unselfish ways, they will be tough to beat the rest of the way.

3. (4) Montverde Academy (Fla.), 18-1
Impressive wins over Roman Catholic (Philadelphia) and No. 8 Sierra Canyon at the Spalding Hoophall Classic nudge the one-loss Eagles past unbeaten Atascocita in the rankings.

4. (3) Atascocita (Humble, Texas), 24-0
The Eagles trailed in the fourth quarter Friday night at Kingwood but rallied for a 51-47 win to remain perfect.

5. (8) St. Anthony (Jersey City, N.J.), 11-0
Back-to-back MaxPreps national champions in 2011 and 2012, the Friars put themselves in that conversation again with weekend wins over then-No. 7 The Patrick School and Bentonville (Ark.).

6. (10) Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.), 18-0
Nobody made more of a statement over the weekend than the Pilots. Findlay Prep blasted then-No. 9 St. Benedict's Prep 91-67 on Sunday to cap a 2-0 showing at the Spalding Hoophall Classic.

7. (5) DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.), 16-2
The Stags overcame 40 points from Jayson Tatum in a 72-69 overtime win over Chaminade (St. Louis, Mo.) at the Spalding Hoophall Classic on Monday.

8. (6) Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.), 14-3
After leading wire-to-wire against No. 2 Oak Hill Academy, the Trailblazers had their hearts broken at the buzzer in the Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions final. Two days later against No. 3 Montverde Academy at the Spalding Hoophall Classic, Sierra Canyon ran out of gas in the second half after leading at halftime.

9. (11) Garfield (Seattle, Wash.), 13-1
A blowout winner over rival Franklin (Seattle) on Monday night, the Bulldogs are a fourth-quarter meltdown against No. 7 DeMatha away from being unbeaten.

10. (12) Hammond School (Columbia, S.C.), 17-0
This feels a bit high for a team from South Carolina but tough to overlook Hammond's 34-game win streak.

11. (14) U-D Jesuit (Detroit, Mich.), 10-0
The Cubs surrendered just 12 points Friday in a win over Brother Rice (Bloomfield Hills).

12. (15) Hopkins (Minnetonka, Minn.), 17-0
Stat of the week: Hopkins has won 39 of the last 40 games University of Minnesota-bound senior Amir Coffey has played in dating back to December of 2013. Coffey missed all but three games of his junior season with a torn ACL.

13. (9) St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, N.J.), 15-1
Following a humbling loss to No. 6 Findlay Prep, the Gray Bees will head to the ARS.com Hoopfest in Tampa to face North Carolina-bound big man Tony Bradley and Bartow (Fla.).

14. (16) St. John's (Washington, D.C.), 16-2
Senior guards Anthony Cowan and Jeffrey Dowtin Jr. combined for 49 points Saturday in a 91-66 win over Woodson (Fairfax, Va.).

15. (17) Stevens Point (Wis.), 12-0
Champlin Park of Minnesota couldn't slow the Panthers down in an 89-73 loss Saturday. Marquette signee Sam Hauser poured in 35 points in the win.

16. (NR) Wayne (Huber Heights, Ohio), 13-0
Quietly, the Warriors have put together a rock solid resume. Wayne won the Arby's Classic in Tennessee in late December and owns wins over teams from Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan and Germany.

17. (20) Morgan Park (Chicago), 13-1
There are a lot of interesting headlines coming out of Chicago high school basketball right now, including Morgan Park's boycott/postponement of a showdown with rival Simeon over school and gym conditions last week.

18. (21) Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, Calif.), 18-0
The unbeaten Knights get a crack at No. 1 Chino Hills at the Fairfax State Preview on Jan. 30.

19. (23) Providence Day (Charlotte, N.C.), 19-3
Since a Dec. 19 loss, the Chargers have won nine in a row and will likely be favorites in every remaining regular season contest.

20. (24) DeSoto (Texas), 22-1
Senior guard Julian Miranda scored 22 points in a 72-62 win against rival Cedar Hill on Friday night.

21. (25) Memphis East (Memphis, Tenn.), 15-1
The Mustangs went 4-0 last week, including a 61-44 win over Haywood (Brownsville) at the FedEx Forum – home of the Memphis Grizzlies and University of Memphis Tigers.

22. (NR) Seton Hall Prep (West Orange, N.J.), 12-1
Notre Dame-bound guard T.J. Gibbs leads the Pirates in scoring at 19.8 points per game. Prep's only loss came at the Beach Ball Classic against No. 3 Montverde Academy.

23. (NR) La Lumiere (LaPorte, Ind.), 17-3
After losing three of five outings, the Lakers bounced back with a 3-0 week that included wins over Prolific Prep Academy (Napa, Calif.) and No. 24 Patrick School.

24. (7) The Patrick School (Elizabeth, N.J.), 7-3
Losses to No. 5 St. Anthony and No. 23 La Lumiere over the weekend send the Celtics tumbling a bit.

25. (NR) Apple Valley (Minn.), 15-1
Since losing to No. 12 Hopkins back on Dec. 12, the Eagles have won nine in a row by an average margin of 24.7 points per game.

Dropped out: No. 13 last week Greenforest (Decatur, Ga.), No. 18 North Central (Indianapolis), No. 19 Chaminade (St. Louis, Mo.), No. 22 Sacred Heart (Waterbury, Conn.)
