Sanger West is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Madera South. The win continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Stallions: they've now won five in a row.

Sanger West had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-18, 25-11, 25-16.

Sanger West's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jayden Vang, who had 34 assists and 11 digs, and Maximus Inboon, who had 13 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Vang has posted since back in April.

Meanwhile, San Luis Obispo came up short against Arroyo Grande on Thursday and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

San Luis Obispo started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 11-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-16.

San Luis Obispo's defeat dropped their record down to 23-9. As for Sanger West, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-14.
