It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Hinsdale Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Glenbard West Hilltoppers a 1-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for Hinsdale Central as they're now sitting on six straight.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Caitlin Doherty, who's now up to 11 this season.

Hinsdale Central's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for Glenbard West, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hinsdale Central will square off against Mundelein at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Glenbard West, they will take on Lincoln-Way East at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
