Christoval is a perfect 3-0 against Reagan County since February of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Christoval Cougars will take on the Reagan County Owls in a tournament on Friday. Christoval is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Christoval saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell 6-2 to Tulia. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ryler Hunt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Meanwhile, Reagan County had to endure a ten-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against San Angelo HomeSchool by a score of 9-5 on Friday. The Owls' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Christoval's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Reagan County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Christoval took their victory against Reagan County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christoval since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
