Recap: Whitmer Panthers vs. Ross Little Giants
The Whitmer Panthers were the 49-46 winner over the Ross Little Giants when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Whitmer fell 39-27 to Ross on Saturday.
Whitmer lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mackenzie Royal-davis, who scored six points along with eight rebounds. Royal-davis hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games.
Whitmer's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Ross, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Whitmer will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Highland at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ross will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Southview at 7:15 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
