Lafayette had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the South Jones Braves on Wednesday as they made off with  a  7-1 victory. Considering the Commodores have won 13 contests by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Tanner Harris made a big impact no matter where he played. He  struck out six batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in April.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Ian Mayo, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.  Levi Hamm was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs.
Lafayette is  on a roll lately: they've  won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for South Jones,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 30-8 record.
