Kingsway took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Cherokee Chiefs 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dragons have posted since May 4, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Dylan Rickards, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Thorp, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Cherokee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kingsway will head out to take on Cherry Hill East at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cherokee, they will take on Haddon Heights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
