Basketball Game Preview: Hozho Academy Wolves vs. Ramah Mustangs

The Hozho Academy Wolves will take on the Ramah Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Hozho Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 71-64 win over Non Varsity Opponent.

Meanwhile, Ramah hadn't done well against Navajo Pine recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Ramah blew past Navajo Pine 69-49. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Mustangs just coasted through the last quarter.

Hozho Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points per game. As for Ramah, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-12.

Hozho Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Ramah in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 65-55. Will Hozho Academy repeat their success, or does Ramah have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
