Softball Recap: North Marion Takes a Loss

North Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 9-3 to the West Port Wolf Pack. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolf Pack this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 back in February.

Ariana Turski was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Juliet Firestone also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

North Marion's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for West Port, their record now sits at 9-12.

Looking ahead, North Marion will square off against Bronson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Colts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. West Port does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
